No power or internet? No problem. Our core service is live video monitoring, and most of our sites use cameras on poles or buildings, running on site power. Towers are a support option for the remote sites with neither, about 4% of the locations we monitor. Our solar camera tower rental comes as one monthly service. The tower, delivery, high-speed 5G internet, 24/7 live monitoring and maintenance are all included, with no upfront cost.

Each tower is a mobile surveillance trailer with its own solar power, batteries, cameras and internet. Many rental towers only send motion alerts to your phone. Ours are watched live, and a person checks every alert, so you get zero false alarms.

Cameras are set up for what your site needs to see. Every tower also has anti-theft protection and looks after itself. It restarts its modem if the internet drops, sends a regular heartbeat to our command centre, checks its cameras and restarts any that stop responding, and monitors the health of its hard drive.

Site check. We check where you need coverage and the cell signal. This happens as part of your free site assessment.
Trailer delivery. We tow the tower to your site and place it where it gets the best sightlines and sun.
Setup. We raise the mast, aim the cameras, set detection zones and connect the tower to our command centre. Once you approve, your site is up and running within 24 hours.
Live monitoring starts. Our operators get your site instructions (who's allowed in, after-hours contacts, response steps) and start watching.
What's included in the monthly fee
One all-inclusive monthly fee covers:
Equipment. The camera tower, solar power, batteries, cameras, speaker, siren and strobes.
Delivery and installation. Towing the trailer to your site, placing it and setting it up.
Internet. High-speed 5G internet, or satellite internet at remote spots with no cell coverage.
Monitoring. Live monitoring from our Richmond command centre, with voice-down and police dispatch. Choose 24-hour monitoring, or our Standard plan, which covers 4 pm to 7 am on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends and holidays.
Maintenance. Included, with remote health checks and self-healing from our command centre.
Removal. In most cases, removal at the end of the term is included.

Built for winter and low sun
Short days, low sun, snow and deep cold are hard on solar equipment. Our lithium-ion batteries handle cold better than lead-acid, and we size the solar array and batteries for Canadian winters.
Battery autonomy without sun. 2 weeks with no sun or recharge, and 4 hours to a full charge by solar or generator.
Low-sun performance. Panels face south, tilted for your latitude, and a generator can top up the batteries during a long dark stretch.

Planning a tower deployment
Placement and sightlines. Give the tower a clear view of the gate, laydown area, fuel and equipment, and plan for buildings that will block views later.
Sun exposure. Keep panels out of the shadow of buildings, cranes and trees, especially in winter, when the sun stays low to the south.
Access for the trailer. The delivery truck needs a clear, firm path to the spot. Soft ground, tight laneways or a busy gate can affect where the tower goes.
How many towers. Large or irregular sites may need several towers with overlapping views.
As the site changes. A tower may need to move with the risk, for example from the laydown area to the building entrance at lock-up.

Live monitoring, not just recording
- AI detection picks out people and vehicles and filters out weather, animals and shadows.
- An operator in our Richmond command centre checks every alert on live video.
- Voice-down. The operator speaks through the tower's speaker. "This is private property. Do not enter. Leave now." If that's ignored, the siren and strobes go on, which causes most intruders to retreat.
- Police dispatch. If criminal activity is confirmed, a supervisor calls police with a verified report and stays on the line until they arrive. You're notified in real time.
